Grove of Light
A framed print of the painting ‘Sacred Grove’ by Greg Olsen
hangs in our home. It’s one of my
favorites. In the spring of 2005 with the painting looking over my shoulder, I
wrote a piano solo called ‘Grove of Light.’
A few years later my daughter, Jesse, took my music and surprised me with this
video capturing images of the forest near her home. If you listen closely you
will hear a familiar melody woven throughout the piece.
